Biography

Karol Ann Badgett has been an active member of the Austin musical community since 1970. In addition to teaching privately, she has taught class piano at St. Edward's University and Texas State University as well as teaching theory as an Assistant Instructor at The University of Texas at Austin. She has been active as an accompanist for dance, musical theater, opera workshops, vocal and instrumental recitals. She holds a doctorate in composition from The Butler School of Music at The University of Texas at Austin. Dr. Badgett is an active composer with a portfolio of works for piano solo, chamber music, choral music, and music for orchestra.
